Sterling Memorabilia

Metal Arc Machine Works

Route 2, Sterling, VA. 22170

430-2551

John W. Shetter, Jr.

Anybody know where Route 2 was? A Google Search seems to indicate it had a post office on it at least into the 1980s, but the trail dies there. According to the USPS, 22170 isn’t even a valid zip code anymore, but a Google Search shows that it once covered Sterling Park and Countryside. Email me any thoughts!

22170 was in use until some point in the early 90s. A lot of us who grew up in Sterling had to re-memorize our addresses as children. Just found your site. It is awesome! Can’t wait to tell my parents. They might know what route 2 was.
